I wanna be rock star

 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. John 8:31,32
Many teaching we get in these two verses. I will look in this: "If you hold to my teaching..."
To believe in Jesus is more than to  know about Him. It is more than to know what He is able to do. To trust in Him means  to abandon our beliefs, even when we "believe" they may be came from God.
Many times we were taught about God but few of us look at Bible carefully to know if we were taught right, we use to believe because we use to believe!
When Jesus calls us, He says come and trust in me like I'm, even (and I dare to say, frequently) this believe means to abandon our on view point about Him. How many time we use to question our on faith? We have our faith and we always think be right.
John 7:27 shows us people confused about if Jesus was or not The Messiah, and why? Because a common sense in the time, used to say that when The Messiah come, nobody would know where He would come from and Jesus, even showing great miracles, amazing teachings and uncountable signs, was knowing by everybody, His birth city, parents and family making Him not fulfill 'the common sense'.

It means, dearest reader,  if we day by day, do not seek God, and obey His word more than religion and common sense, we are going to lost the real Jesus, and what is more important, salvation! Some times, we see Jesus in people that we don't think be "someone of God" and this kind of thought block us to listen God. We use to listen and read "that preachers we like" and few time we dare to question them, we just listen! Jesus said: If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.John 8:31,32. 
To hold His teaching many (many) times, will means be against common sense, religious traditions and culture.
We are near of a big american commemoration, Halloween. Some churches have bringing it into its temples cultivating witches, monsters and many kinds of bad stuff, just because 'it is our culture'. Brazil has many similar things, what people call folklore and I call blindness.
But, what matter is, that we have to be free and this freedom only come from obey Jesus and His word. To keep our salvation we have to stay living Matthew 5. Loving those who persecute us. Forgiving those who hurt us. Helping the needy.

I have  seen the church of 21 century. This is the most rich church of all time, and to our shame and sadness, the 21 century church is that has less impact and influence in the society. How is it possible? Maybe it is possible because people and leaders of this church, look for become similar to the world. Our clothes, life style, language, and habits in almost nothing differs of the world. We have the same desires, we have the same plans, we look for our own will, we look for be known by our greatness, our diploma in big universities. The 'dream' of big part of people that are called christian, is the same dream of those who aren't.
It is rare listen young from our churches say that to dream in become missionary, pastor our be known for forgive, love and live like Jesus. They want to be celebrity! If be pastor, they want be at TV, our to be a "gospel rock' star".  Resigns, altruism aren't words of our vocabulary!
Church, we have to wake up. We have to come back to Jesus life style. More of Him and less (too much less) of us.
To be a real christian, we need fast, turn away. We have to review our concepts before it guides us to too far that will be impossible to come back.
Come back church, come back!

How many times we sit over troubles and unfortunates, or just lazy and lack to will and say: God not bless me! O! Why a have such life?! AH! If I was like that person. If I could have such luck! But no, here I'm poor of me!!

We are lazy.

Almost all of us like to moan, to murmur and weep but don’t like to wake up and do something, because murmur and put all blame in unlucky or God is easier!

So here, we find Jabez - Jabez was more honorable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow. And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my border, and that thy hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it be not to my sorrow! And God granted him that which he requested. 1Chronicle 4:9,10

A cursed man, since his births. His mother, in her pain, do not limited word to send over him and to declare a bad life outside of the blessing from the Lord.

However Jabez, whom had no few reasons to be sad and grumpy, in a moment of despair, no weep nor to murmur, just cry out God and say:

- bless me – I don’t accept what I have now.

- enlarge my path – I have few things, I need more.

- keep me from harm – so I will be free from pain.

Amazing! Instead weep we see a good faith declaration! Jabez cried to God, the one whom could change his bad fate. The life brought to him few things and he needed more, and he knew that just You, OH God could bring to him, what he had not!

This man lived in pain. His life was no good then, he cried and changed his way!

What you need now?

Happiness?

Money?

Peace?

Impossible thing for men! Good because you have the One whom to cry…

…cry to Jesus, He will change your fate. All that I say for you today, no more to murmur about your way. There are a God whom love you and will help you.

Now you can choose weep or cry in faith to God change your destine!

Yes, if today you cry, your life no more will be the same.

camp vacation 2009

Hello!

Of days 20 to 22, Julho/2209 were doing our second camp Vacation! Thanks God it was a wonderful time where we learn more of God, sanctify our lives and share about the love of the Lord. In all the time be clean your clothes, and never miss the oil on your head. ECL 9:8 - This was the basic text for whole camp. As Christians we can not comply with the good, much less with "being better than most! We need to be totally saints if we want to find salvation of the Lord. Without sanctification nobody will see the Lord! (Heb 12:14) We easily forget an important piece of the Word of God! It is important to remember ... Good work, social activities, frequency of worship and reading the Bible make paste of the life of every Christian, but we can never forget that salvation is the sanctification given by God through the cross of Jesus! We remembered to run to cross, confess ours sins and change of attitude. James 1:22-28 says that the abiding and not hearers of the Word will be saved. Yeah, after three days of services the morning and late evening, we were reminded that we will not leave this holy retreat UNLESS there is repentance in our hearts and in our actions TRANSFORMATION! Young people were reminded to sanctify everything they hear on your mp3 and mp4. were reminded that orkut (facebook) and all kind of Internet access has to be holy as they are in church, or indecent photos and comments have to be torn. Be holy in all body, soul and spirit (I Ts 5:23) That means that the hands, mind and mouth should not touch something that Jesus does not play! It was a time of many words and exhortation, and by the grace of God, we had the anointing of the Spirit that led us to have regrets and reconciliations. All time is Jesus praises! Once someone told me: Listen to the people around you. Hear what they thinking and talk of you, most times is exactly what you are and not want it. We speak about ourselves. Raise our forces and try to minimize the maximum of our weaknesses. The fact is - we are who we are and not always gives deny! It is important to us as children of God, understand that we live in this earth to give glory to the name of Jesus. Perhaps you can tell me: but I'm not a preacher , or I have not called, or some else lot excuses, but ... To give glory to God, we do not have to be large employers, leaders of crowds or magnificent singers. Glory to Jesus when we act with our faith. When the integrity of our character, our attitudes shout to the world that do not accept it to be what they want that we do. Each time you reject the lies, the adultery, the falsehood and selfishness, we give the opportunity for people speak about us as children of God and thus give glory to God where we are at home, at work in school, on the street. ..... where we are, we are the Lord! then.. waht the people have spoken about you?

Look therefore carefully how ye walk, not as unwise, but as wise; Ephesians 5:15

The Very Peace

For they that are after the flesh mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit, For the mind of the flesh is death; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace... Romans 8:5,6

Too many people desire the peace.

They seek in difents places,in all kinds of faith, beliefs, social actions... I concord with this actions. This things are good and essentials for all peoples BUT, none of these can bring the real peace, the unconditional peace, endless peace... eternal peace.

Very peace only can brought through Jesus. Through obedience for the God's Words through Holy Spirit.Then abandone sinful nature, lie, sexual immorality, debauchery, jealousy, be careful with adultery 'cause only desire or think about another person become adultery (Mathew 5:28), angry and the like, then you will find the real peace.

Shout to the Lord and fall down in Your love's arms.

Jesus want give us peace
